Welcome to Crake Valley Croquet Club website
The Club is located in a picturesque setting at Greenodd in the south Lake District (see Find Us page). There are excellent facilities with 3 full lawns and a new clubhouse.  The Club is now open but with restricted use in line with both Government and Croquet Association guidelines. Club members who have logged on can view these guidelines in the Members Area.

Croquet is a game for all ages and a handicapping system helps beginners to join in full games at an early stage. Both Association and Golf Croquet are played and as well as playing in internal competitions, members play in league matches arranged by the North West Federation of Croquet Clubs.

We are currently open for new members  – For those wishing to join Crake Valley Club, limited membership is available with a reduced fee structure valid until March 2021. For a “joining fee” of just £20, a new member will be entitled to use of the lawns (by pre-booking times) for 5 sessions as well as an option to receive two 2-hour, one-to-one coaching sessions to learn or improve their game skills. The next 5 sessions will be charged at £5 each time, but all sessions after that will be free of charge.

Thus, for 2020/2021 only, this membership scheme, limited in availability because of Covid-19 restrictions, will cost £20 up to a maximum of £45.

More information about the game can be found on our Links page. If you would like to learn more and perhaps try out the game, you will be assured of a warm welcome at this friendly Club. We welcome enquiries from groups of 4 or more people. Cost is just £5 per person for a 2 hour session. Additional time and coaching is available – price on request (click here for a booking form).
